Its great to see Jack taking interest in these activities and watching what the children are doing and making attempts to join in.

Mini Olympics Day

Jack had an awesome day taking part in Mini Olympics Day at Arena Manawatu in Palmerston North.  He loved the dancing at the beginning and then moving onto activities around the Arena.  Jacks favourite part of the day would have to be the Gymnastics, walking along the beam, rolling over the large cyclinder obstacle, and jumping from the rebounder to the mat.  He even had a go at shotput and group tag games.  At lunch time he sat in a big group alongside his classroom friends.  At the end of the day Jack joined in with the rest of the schools making the Olympic Rings. Everyone is extremely pleased he attended the whole day! WAY TO GO JACK!

In Maths time today the children were put into groups.  They had to arrange shapes and teddy bears from smallest to biggest.  Jack joined in with his group helping to sort them.

GREAT EFFORT JACK

Library Corner

Jack enjoys his time spent in the Library corner.  He sits with his classroom peers and listens to stories read to him. He also gets his own books which he likes to point to the words and look at the pictures.  This is a quiet time for Jack and a chance for him to interact with his friends.

ICE CREAM !!!

Today at school we all got to have an Ice Cream in room one, as a follow on from learning our ice cream poem and winning a Gold Medal at the Olympics.

Jack also wrote a story, "I like Icecreams"
He was very happy to receive his icecream and sat on the mat with rest of the class, while they all licked there delicious vanilla icecreams.
